Jordyn Comes To Visit | travel vlog
As you all know I started a YouTube channel a couple weeks ago, and I've finally recorded a second video for my channel. In my last blog I told you all that I've been in a long distance relationship and last week my boyfriend came to visit me and he and I put together 8 Steps for Long Distance Relationships. Well, we also recorded some videos while he was here! Below I've embedded the video from my YouTube channel of Jordyn, my boyfriend, and I exploring Illinois together. Below the video I will explain and walk you through our trip.
Lately we realized that we needed to spend more than weekends together, so this trip was 5 days (Friday to Tuesday). It was really nice being able to tour my city of Chicago with him. On Friday after picking him up we went to Bad Hunter which is this really cool restaurant downtown that has a lot of vegetarian options (for him not me). Then we went home and spent time with my family. On Saturday we went to church and then spent the day relaxing at home. At night he and I went to watch Logan at the AMC right by my house and it was pretty cool! I felt like everyone around us was crying *spoiler* but it was still really good.
On Sunday we started off by going to the Skydeck Tower, or the Willis Tower, in Chicago which is where the picture above was taken! I always love the view from up there. After that we walked to Giordano's and got some pizza and then we drove to Millenium Park where the big bean is!
After walking around a little we drove to the Lincoln Park Zoo and saw so many animals! I'm sorry that part of the video is sooo long but I love animals and it was exciting being able to see so many. Sadly it started to rain and the zoo was closing so we walked back to my car and headed to the Ethiopian restaurant nearby. I'm half Ethiopian so I've eaten Ethiopian food all of my life. Jordyn, however, had not had Ethiopian food before, so this was his first time! That was exciting and interesting to watch. Fortunately he loved it.
Monday was pretty laid back, we recorded a YouTube video and just watched shows together. Then we went to Studio Movie Grill and watched the Lego Batman movie. Our lemonades were $4 each but otherwise the prices weren't too bad. You'll see the menu in the video.
Then finally on Tuesday we went to Egg Harbor and had an AMAZING brunch and then walked by the water and took pictures.
Afterwards I took him to my favorite grocery store, Standard Market, and then we headed home to get his things and go to the airport. It was a really special trip (as always) and we had a great time together, and I can't wait to see him again in May and bring you all more videos of us! Don't forget to subscribe to my YouTube Channel!
Feel free to contact me anytime via email! I would love to hear from you.
