Meet My "Decorator"
One thing you should know about me is I’m okay at being a girl. Listen, some things I excel at, and with others I’m just lost. For example: I suck at makeup. I have been defeated many times while trying to get the perfect winged eyeliner look. I don’t know how to contour, let alone how to use a highlighter (didn’t even realize ‘til recently that it wasn’t a highlighter marker that everyone was talking about), but I do love nail polish.
I love the colors. I love matching with the seasons. Pale pastels in spring, bright colors to contrast my tan skin in summer, deep burgundy and plums for autumn, and of course the merry pigments of winter.
So for the next 12 months, I will write about the perfect nail color for that particular month. So let’s get started, shall we?
January: Meet My “Decorator”
“Meet My ‘Decorator’” is an O.P.I color that is part of the Breakfast at Tiffany’s collection. O.P.I describes it as “a hot little red for rendezvous and other ‘meetings’” and I agree!
I absolutely love this color. It is bright and vibrant. I always say you can never go wrong with a red tint. This color isn’t the traditional apple red and arguably can even be called orange, but I think it’s the perfect color to start off the new year.
So many people hated 2016. It’s even been referred as the worst year in the last century and you know what? I agree! Not only did the world go through a lot of pain, but personally, I did as well. So I want to start you all off with a badass color. A color that is so bright you can’t help but stand out and you should.
This color is already pretty pigmented so it only took about 2 coats to get the perfect tint.
Of course, I ALWAYS use Sally Hansen’s “Insta-Dri” topcoat that helps your nails dry fast with a strong hold.
Stand up for what you believe is right and stand out of the crowd. I know you’re probably thinking “its just nail polish,” but it’s not, it’s confidence. Wear this color loud and proud and let everyone know you are a force to be reckoned with!
