February Ipsy Bag

So here we go again, time for the next Ipsy bag review. January just flew by, which I'm glad it did. I'm tired of winter. This month's Ipsy bag, to be honest, was not that exciting, but there are a few products that I'm excited to try!

Let's get started...

First product up is the "Banana" HD finishing powder by Naked Cosmetics. The purpose of finishing powder is for it to be used after you have applied your foundation or bb cream. They are translucent and absorb excess oil. After applying the powder, you apply bronze, highlighter, etc. To be honest, I'm not a much of a finishing powder girl because I usually don't wear a lot of make up, but they are perfect on special ocassions when you know you will be taking lots of pictures. Finishing powders can create smooth looking skin with a nice glowing undertone! Since I don't use it very often, I'm going to give it a 3.5/5 stars.

Next item up is "Latte" by Trust Fund Beauty. This color is a little tricky. It's a dark brown/gray. Obviously, I am having a very hard time trying to figure this color out, but one thing I do have to say is they got lazy with their name. Latte? I would not drink a latte this color! I love dark colors, but the problem I have with this one is if I apply one coat, I can see my nail. If I apply two or more coats, it looks black. If I'm in need of wearing a dark color, I can go with this one, but overall I give it 3/5 stars.

Hmmmm let's see...I like the idea of this "Luminude" by Seraphine Botanicals . From what the instructions say I can "pat onto cheekbones and temples to give illusion of an all over glow". Only problem? If I wear this, I'll look as if I got a bad, fake tan. What I like most about this product is the fact that it is vegan, GMO-free, gluten-free, and not tested on animals. That is why I give it a 3/5.

Finally, my FAVORITE by far "LIfeguard" by NXY the butter lipstick collection. Where do I even start? There is a reason they call it butter, it feels so smooth on your lips when you apply and you can't even feel it while you wear it. I love red, but I'm always afraid I can't pull it off. I'm not afraid with this color! It's not too assertive and gave me just enough confidence. Super cheesy I know, but I love it! 5/5 stars!

Well there you have it! I hope you enjoyed and this helped you out in any way!
