Samoan Sand

Alright guys I have to admit, I dropped the ball on this one. There was just so much to post about I kept putting off February's nail polish color of the month, but here it is! 

February: Samoan Sand

I thought long and hard on the color I should choose for this month. I kept wanting to do a pink, but how cliche is that? Pink for Valentine's day? So I decided to go with this sandy color. 

"Samoan Sand" is an O.P.I color described as "a warm beige-pink". This might seem like a pretty dull polish, but what I like about it is how simple and neutral it is. You can wear this with nearly any color combination. I know most of us don't match our nail polish with our outfits (no one has time for that), but I'm sure you all have thought twice about an outfit because it clashed with your nails. 

The only downside? I had to apply two coats, wait for it dry, and apply a couple more. It is VERY sheer. Gives off a very "barely there" vibe, but sometimes we want a color that is shiny and elegant. That is what this color whispers to me: elegance

To add an additional gloss, don't forget to use a top coat, like the Sally Hansen one I highly recommend! 

Again, sorry I'm a little late, but it's definitely not too late to wear this color!
