April Fashion Faves

Sorry I haven't blogged in awhile! I'm back!

As many of you know, I love fashion and I've kept up with it for as long as I can remember. Don't quiz me on fabrics or fashion designers, but I do watch some fashion shows, subscribe to a lot of magazines and study trends. As an aspiring fashionista, I would love to share some of my current favorite pieces and trends with you!

 1. Lace-up Everything

I was looking at some old family pictures, and in one of them, I had this little black sweater that was laced up at the top. Although the current lace up look is usually a lot more revealing, it reminded me that this is, in fact, a throwback look! I have always loved this look. These tops or dresses can be paired with bralettes if they are too revealing on you.

2. Off-the-Shoulder

So I'm not a huge fan of the peekaboo "cold-shoulder" style, but I loooove the full off-the-shoulder look. This cut is so flattering and pairs perfectly with chokers. I only have one off-the-shoulder top right now but I'm planning on investing in a bunch more this summer.

3. Denim Jeans - Anything Goes!

This year literally any style of denim is acceptable. You can wear skinnies, flare, boot cut, multicolored denim patches, embroidery, ripped, high waisted, washed and faded, culottes, uneven-hem....must I go on? If you think I'm kidding, pay attention to the jeans you see in the stores nowadays - anything goes, and I love it!

4. Regular Tops Off-the-Shoulder

This trend makes me so happy because it's weird and you don't have to buy anything new to try it. Take any old button-up top that you have, put it on, and only button it just enough so that it can hang off your shoulders. This makeshift off-the-shoulder is really stylish, creative and sexy! You can wear the top with the buttons in the back or in the front.

5. Bell Sleeves, Poplin, Ruffles and Frills

Last, but DEFINITELY not least, I am obseeeessssssssed with all the detailing we are getting on our new tops and dresses in 2017. These are statement details that really make an outfit pop! Zara seems to have the best collection of pieces with this style so I'm going to post some of my favorites below. Click whichever you like and follow the link to see more!

I hope you enjoyed this blog! Comment below if you want me to blog more about fashion. What are your "April Fashion Faves"?
